10 Reasons Batman Forever Is Better Than Any Other Batman Movie

Batman Forever may not be the only super villain team up in Batman cinema history, but none have done it better.

It's widely publicised that Jim Carrey was the bane of Tommy Lee Jones during filming, with Jones quoted as saying to him:

"I cannot sanction your buffoonery."

What may have been a cause for conflict off-screen, turned out to be one of the main reasons why the Riddler/Two-Face crime combo worked so well. Jones plays the perfect straight man to Carrey, desperately trying to educate him in professional crime while his only interest is causing as much chaos as possible. With that seriousness approach to his chosen profession and Riddler randomly dancing and cane twirling, it came across as even more spectacular when Two-Face lost it. With even the criminals at odds due to their vastly different personalities, The Dynamic Duo had their work cut out for them in adopting a suitable strategy to deal with both. Not many of the rogues gallery have made it into the depths of Wayne Manor, let alone blew it to pieces.

With such spot-on performances and by taking the time to really hire some star power in the roles, Batman Forever ensured that with any future iteration of Riddler and Two-Face, the benchmark has been set far too high to forget how well these characters were brought off the page and onto the big screen.
