10 Reasons Batman Forever Is Better Than Any Other Batman Movie
4. Val Kilmer's Performance
There is no denying that Michael Keaton is a fantastic Batman, the same can be said about Christian Bale. Dark, gritty and menacing, everything you would look for in a comic book accurate Bat.
Take off the cowl however and it's the Bruce Wayne side of things that is where things begin to unravel.
Keaton was a cocky Bruce, sauntering from room to room of Wayne Manor sneaking up on guests and making jokes only he found funny. Bale on the other hand leaned so far into the broody nature of an eccentric recluse he was rarely seen outside of his bedroom.
Kilmer had the perfect balance of Bat and Billionaire. Not only looking fantastic in full cape with the perfectly chiseled jaw and lips you couldn't not stare at, but fulfilled his Bruce Wayne duties with class and professionalism.
Never flying off the handle in any situation, Kilmer never let his emotions get the better of him. Giving calm and collected advice to Dick Grayson over loss as well as legitimate reasons as to the dangers of mind control, he showed not only the personality of a man who had focused his mind to be the perfect scenario calculator, but also the intelligence Batman is revered for.
