8. It's An Origin Story
Origin stories have become redundant. Perhaps that explains why Marvel apparently won't be going in that direction for Black Panther and Doctor Strange, and while it's looking like Warner Bros. will be avoiding origin stories by introducing characters in Batman v Superman and then continuing their adventures in solo movies, this is still an origin of sorts. In fact, the crew were spotted shooting the murder of Thomas and Martha Wayne! Just how much time is Batman v Superman going to waste explaining not only Batman's background, but that of the other Justice League members who cameo? They can't just show up without their backgrounds being addressed somehow, and this is where Marvel has the advantage. They've done the origin stories and in some cases have spent multiple movies building up their characters, creating a connection with those watching as a result.
