10 Reasons Batman v Superman Can't Top Captain America: Civil War

9. The Cast

Batman v Superman has a great cast...on the surface. It's hard to fault Ben Affleck as Batman (Daredevil was a long time ago, so move on) and Henry Cavill is a solid Man of Steel, but take a closer look at the rest of the actors who make up the main players, and this movie could be described as something of a gamble. Gal Gadot has never taken on a leading role before, while Jason Momoa's attempts to do so were met with mixed success. Ezra Miller has delivered some superb performances, but The Flash? Really?! Ray Fisher meanwhile is a complete unknown, yet Warner Bros. are hoping that he and the rest of these actors will be good enough to work here and in their own solo outings. Marvel's actors on the other hand have proven themselves multiple times, with the majority - Robert Downey Jr. in particular - having established themselves as major box office draws. It could be argued that the likes of Chris Evans, Scarlett Johannson, and Mark Ruffalo are just better actors. They certainly have better résumés, superhero related or otherwise.
