10 Reasons Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice Might Just Be Awesome

5. Chris Terrio Could Make All The Difference

David Goyer played a key role in giving us the Batman we needed and deserved. He also gave us Blade Trinity, but never mind that now. But if Man of Steel didn€™t do it for you, Goyer probably deserves more criticism than Snyder. Feel free to slag off Chris Nolan while you€™re at it €“ after all, he€™s also got a €˜Story by€™ credit, and most of its detractors will tell you the story was really the problem. In this respect, we can be suitably €“ if cautiously €“ optimistic about Dawn of Justice. Ben Affleck, for all the misgivings about his acting ability and occasional smugness, knows a thing or two about story €“ the man won a screenwriting Oscar when he was 25. And another writer with a statue on the mantle is Chris Terrio, who last year picked up an Academy Award for the Affleck-helmed Argo. That Terrio is on board is revealing. When Affleck, hot as he deservedly was after picking up a second Oscar, this time as a producer, agreed to play Batman, you can bet your shirt and pants he did so under the proviso that he would have significant creative input in this first outing and whatever follows. Now that Goyer has made way for Terrio, there are clear-cut signs that story is a renewed priority, and the presence of two Oscar-winning writers on the project is hugely encouraging.

I watch movies and I watch sport. I also watch movies about sport, and if there were a sport about movies I'd watch that too. The internet was the closest thing I could find.
