1. They Weren't Happy With The Footage They Filmed
This is the least likely of the reasons to be true, but if for some reason it is true, it would also probably be the most damaging. We know that Zack Snyder filmed some footage for the movie in mid-October at a college football game, but the belief is that this was largely filler shots that will be edited into a set-piece or scene to be filmed later on, and so it's not likely much could really be wrong with it. This would only make sense if Snyder and co. were really sneaky and had actually filmed significant material with Affleck and Cavill, and something hadn't quite worked out. Still, that would in no way explain a 10-month delay, so again, it's mere speculation and pretty unlikely at any juncture. Only if the footage made the creative team realise that something didn't quite "pop", and they wanted to do massive re-writes would this make sense. What do you think about the delay?
