10 Reasons DCEU Movies Will Never Catch Up To The MCU

9. They Still Don't Have A Kevin Feige

DCEU No Chance
Warner Bros. Pictures

As well as studio execs playing too large of a role in the DCEU, one of Warner Bros.' biggest pitfalls is not having their own Kevin Feige. For those of you who don't know him, the President of Marvel Studios is the man responsible for planning out these slates of movies, and works with filmmakers to plan out roadmaps to epic, unforgettable event films like The Avengers and Avengers: Endgame.

Things have definitely improved since Walter Hamada took charge of the DC slate, but how much does he actually know about these characters? He's certainly made some smart business decisions, but one quick look at past and upcoming films set in the DCEU proves that continuity, crossovers, and creative directions for these DC Comics heroes and villains is beyond the realm of his expertise.

There are plenty of people who could oversee the DCEU (names like Marc Guggenheim, Geoff Johns, and Jim Lee immediately spring to mind), but by treating these movies as little more than a business venture, it's hard to imagine them ever receiving the love they need to compete with Marvel Studios.
