10 Reasons DCEU Movies Will Never Catch Up To The MCU

3. Marvel's Characters Are Better

A bold statement, yes, but one it's arguably hard to disagree with at this stage. The problem with DC's characters has always been that they're not overly relatable; how can you root for a billionaire without when you're worrying about paying this month's rent or an invulnerable hero who cannot be hurt when we're seeing what's happening in the world right now?

Marvel's heroes, on the other hand, have problems like the rest of us; whether it's Steve Rogers pining after his lost love, Tony Stark battling his inner demons, or Peter Quill fighting his grief over the loss of his mother, the MCU's heroes are easier to root for, and there's not much the DCEU can do about that.

The same applies to villains; yes, the likes of Lex Luthor and Darkseid are pretty memorable, and Batman's rogues gallery is undeniably great, but with everyone from the Green Goblin to Magneto and Galactus on their way to the MCU, what we're seeing from Warner Bros. can't compete. There's just no way Wonder Woman 1984 baddie Cheetah is more exciting than seeing The Mandarin in Shang-Chi!
