10 Reasons Disney Needs To Make Solo 2 Happen
8. We Need To See More Lando
Donald Glover's take on the smooth talking Lando Calrissian was one of the most well-received aspects of the movie, and it was a crime that Lando wasn't given more screen time.
Though Han and Lando's reunion in The Empire Strikes Back definitely seems to follow on from Han winning the Falcon ("You got a lot of guts coming here after what you pulled"), it still seems like there's a large chunk of story missing here.
In the Original Trilogy, their iconic reunion scene seems to establish decades of history between the characters, giving fans the impression that Han and Lando were once good friends who had since fallen out. In Solo, however, despite a few instances of friendly (borderline flirtatious) banter, it seems as though Lando for the most part genuinely hates Han's guts: there's certainly nothing in his character that suggests one day he'll set out to rescue a smuggler he hardly knew.
A Solo sequel could have Han and Lando meet again, and they could spend the majority of the movie working together so fans can see their friendship deepen on screen, only for Han to be forced to double-cross Lando as he begins to face the reality of what working in the criminal underworld is like.
