10 Reasons An All-Female Ghostbusters Is A Terrible Idea
7. A New Ghostbusters Movie Is A Bad Idea. Period.
Even ignoring the idea of the series being rebooted, hasn't the boat kinda sailed on a new Ghostbusters movie anyway? There have been countless attempts to get Ghostbusters 3 made over the last 25 years, but due to various issues (namely Bill Murray being unhappy with the script), it's never come to fruition. Now, fans have to come to terms with the fact that even if a straight Ghostbusters sequel were made, it wouldn't feature writer-actor Harold Ramis (who died earlier this year), nor director Ivan Reitman (who stepped down from the director's chair after Ramis died, though will stay on as a producer), and Bill Murray likely wouldn't be involved either. Those complaining about an all-female Ghostbusters movie because they think it's somehow going to get in the way of a classic reunion movie are wrong: the best fans would ever get is one starring Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson with a new group of younger Ghostbusters, so doesn't this pretty much ensure that a new Ghostbusters movie is a terrible idea regardless of which fresh new faces are in it?
