4. You'll Laugh All The Way Through

One thing's for certain - this movie is funny. You'll laugh from start to finish (well, once the movie passes the heart-wrenching opening scenes on Earth in which Peter Quill loses his mother and gets abducted), as the lead characters are charming, witty, charismatic and downright hilarious. Chris Pratt is simply superb and his one-liners are wonderful, the relationship between Bradley Cooper's Rocket and Vin Diesel's Groot is charming and funny - with both characters having their individual moments in the comedic spotlight (yes, even Groot with his extremely limited vocabulary) - and the deadpan delivery of the humourless Drax the Destroyer's lines by WWE superstar Dave Bautista was an extremely pleasant surprise. You'll laugh at the visuals, you'll laugh at the quotes, you'll laugh at the references and you'll smile and sing along to the music (and you'll love the dancing - yes, there's dancing). With regards to humour, what Avengers gave you in small doses, Guardians gives you in spades - and it works a lot better than you might think.
