6. It's Got Some Serious Writing Talent Behind It

Of huge importance to the quality of a film are the people writing it. Though many laud directors as the most significant element, the fact of the matter is that a director can't make a bad story good, or crappy dialogue engaging.

Thankfully, Kong: Skull Island probably doesn't have to worry about that. Its story is written by Dan Gilroy and John Gatins, two writers with strong credentials. Gatins was screenwriter on Flight, the 2012 Robert Zemeckis film which was nominated for multiple Academy Awards, including a nod for Gatis himself for Best Original Screenplay.

Even more exciting is Gilroy, who wrote and director the 2014 film Nightcrawler, a phenomenal thriller starring Jake Gyllenhaal which received huge critical acclaim and was nominated for over a dozen awards. Kong's story is in good hands.
