10 Reasons Logan Is The Best X-Men Movie

1. It Proves The Series Doesn't Need Bryan Singer

Bryan Singer has been the Godfather of the X-Men series since its inception, and even though he's actually "only" directed four of the ten movies to date, he's unquestionably the franchise's prime creative force.

Though Matthew Vaughn and Tim Miller did rock solid work on X-Men: First Class and Deadpool respectively, Logan marks the first time a director other than Singer has really done truly fantastic work in the series.

James Mangold hasn't just delivered the best X-Men movie but proven that, just as fans are questioning Singer's passion for the franchise after the forgettable X-Men: Apocalypse, it will be totally fine without him.

As long as Fox doesn't hire cheap hack filmmakers or impose cynical creative restrictions on artists, the series can probably be taken away from Singer now, and he can move onto something that might rejuvenate his creative juices a little.
