10 Reasons Loki Is Actually A Pretty Lame Villain

7. He's A Mummy's Boy

Marvel StudiosMarvel StudiosIt's fairly well established that Loki is something of a mummy's boy. His relationship with Frigga growing up, and prior to her demise at the hands of Kurse, was far more intimate than that of his relationship with Odin - with whom he could never really fully connect. Their relationship was quite beautiful in both of their eyes. It was sensitive and artistic, with Frigga teaching Loki everything he knows about magic - and that was something the often distant and harsh Loki clearly appreciated. Throughout the events of Thor, even when he had deceived Odin, Loki was shown to not want any harm to come to Frigga and, in Thor: The Dark World, he was clearly upset by her death. Granted, you can be an awful person and still love your mother, but when the supposed scale of your evil threat is universal, the reveal that you're a mummy's boy somewhat weakens your image.
