10 Reasons The Marvel Cinematic Universe's Best Days Are Behind It

8. Certain Actors Are Losing Their Enthusiasm

Every week there seems to be a news story relaying the fact that an actor inherent to the MCU is thinking about leaving, or doesn't want to make more than two or three more movies, or that "this movie will be their last." For the actors involved, this pretty much translates as: "I want to do other things now, because I'm a bit bored with playing this character for the upteenth time." And, really, can you blame them for wanting to move onto other things? But this sort of apathetic attitude seems to translate over into the movies themselves - and if it hasn't, it's bound to a some point, as disgruntled actors, bound by Disney-fied contracts, are forced to reprise roles that they can't really be arsed with anymore. Did anyone else get the sense that Chris Evans was phoning in his last turn as Captain America somewhat? Or that Robert Downey Jr. was a little complacent with his acting in Iron Man 3?
