10 Reasons Marvel Shouldn't Mix The MCU And Netflix Characters
1. It Doesn't Work As Well As The Comics
Comic book storylines are known for being confusing, especially when it comes to the comic boom giants like Marvel and DC. There are so many issues set in all kinds of universes and time-lines that it is almost impossible to keep up. The difference between the comics and the MCU and Netiflx shows is that confusion is accepted in the former, but is exactly what they are trying to avoid in the latter.
Comic books have multiple issues set in mulitple universes and when everything becomes too much they just reboot with a time traveller or an indescript universe shattering catastrophe. Perhaps this is what Marvel intend to do but at the moment they are doing their best to remain as stream-lined as possible.
Often with comic books you can just read one characters issues, maybe dip in and out of some others and it doesn't matter if you don't have a grasp of everything that's going on. This will never be accepted in the movie world and each MCU movie is becoming more and more difficult to follow if you haven't seen the predecessors.
Ultimately this is the biggest argument against mixing Netflix with the wider MCU, the already overwhelming amount of characters and plots will become so big that it will collapse in on itself into a mangled ball of disorder and chaos.
