7. Dane Dehaan's Fight Scene
Even though the entire narrative of Through The Never is predicated on self-interpretation through otherwordly imagery, to steer clear of spoilers I'll not be detailing the exact way this fight scene plays out, but let's just say it's one of the many scenes in the film you'll be talking about when you leave the theatre. As I mentioned earlier, one of the main antagonists in the flick are a bunch of looters and rioters, all clashing with an anonymous police presence. However as Trip gets involved in the fray, he's chased through the city and forced to think of an ingenious (and suicidal) way to take on a small crowd of people by himself. Armed only with a can of gasoline and the mind of a metalhead in a tight spot, the sequence that follows is going to be another that divides an audience. For the most part however, it's another attack on the senses by way of loading your eyeballs with explosions of colour and brilliant cinematography.
