1. Remakes
Probably the best thing to point out is that Hollywood is still going back in the archives and pulling out old movies to remake. Old movies were original and had no CGI or 3d to distract the viewer so they actually needed to have a good quality story and a great cast. Hollywood has taken the 3d aspect one step further and re-released old movies in 3-d. What a great way to make even more money. It seems all Hollywood is doing is remakes, sequels, prequels and book adaptations. The odd original movie is thrown in here and there, but if some of them bomb, how much slack do the next ones get. Movies are still one of my favorite past times, but its hard not to notice the flaws and where the future of movies could be heading if these trends continue. Feel free to share your opinion below.
