10 Reasons Shazam Needs To Be In Justice League 2

1. The Ending Of Shazam! Demands It

The fate of the once-certain Justice League sequel may remain unknown, but one thing is certain - if it does happen, the ending of Shazam! suggests that Billy must be included.

Just before the credits roll, Billy finally makes good on his promise to attend school as his alter ego and have lunch with Freddy in front of the other kids. In reference to an earlier joke about Superman bringing dessert, Shazam brings the Man of Tomorrow along with him. Freddy gets to look cool in front of the other kids, and he also gets to meet one of his greatest idols.

It's a cute gag, but having Shazam meet Superman (and apparently develop something of a friendship with him) makes it hard for any possible Justice League sequel to ignore Shazam's existence. Any threat deemed strong enough to force the Justice League into action - whether Darkseid, the Legion of Doom or another threat not discussed by previous DCEU films - would also be strong enough to warrant the enlistment of Captain Sparklefingers.

Additionally, with Freddy's YouTube channel going viral, the rest of the team is probably well aware that there's a guy running around Philadelphia who can shoot magic lightning from his hands. Bruce obsessively searches for new superheroes, Victor practically lives in a never-ending data stream, and Barry would simply watch the channel for laughs. With or without Superman's approval, someone should think to call on the Big Red Cheese for some magical assistance.
