10 Reasons You Shouldn't Be Worried About Jurassic World
9. The Dialogue Has Almost No Context
It's fair to say that the trailer also features its share of creaky dialogue, including the following zingers: "You just went and made a new dinosaur? Probably not a good idea", "What kinda dinosaur they cooked up in that lab", "Evacuate the island...", "She's a highly intelligent animal. She will kill anything that moves" and "Run!" A lot of the dialogue does come off as clunky and or unimaginative, though it's also important to remember that it completely lacks context, and there's no way to know how it really fits into the narrative. Everyone has seen a movie trailer where a line of dialogue sounded dumb, only for it to make much more sense in the final movie (the whole "you don't know your own wife's blood type?" line from Gone Girl, for instance), so it's not worth completely losing faith in the script yet. Yes, it's a tad disconcerting that this is the best dialogue the crew had ready to show off, but practically every movie eventually uses a number of different takes from those in the trailer, so hopefully there are some better takes in the cutting room that will make the delivery sound a little more interesting.
