10 Reasons You Shouldn't Be Worried About Jurassic World
7. Times Have Changed, This Is A New Jurassic Park
Another common complaint about the new trailer is that it just doesn't look like the Jurassic Park fans know and love. But isn't that the whole point? Considering both sequels were largely terrible and it's been over 20 years since the original movie hit screens, it's not unreasonable that the park and general style of the movie looks pretty different. Sure, with its fancy new gate and shiny gyrospheres, there's definitely the potential for Jurassic World to be a needlessly glossy retread of the original movie's ideas, but audiences should be less concerned with the look of the film and more with whether it retains the soul of the original classic. Times have changed, and this is going to be a different Jurassic Park to any of the three that came before: here, the island is actually operational, and so it makes sense that the movie will likely delve deeper into sophisticated technology. So what if those famous jeeps aren't there? This is the future: it makes sense to have fancy new technology rather than needlessly cling to relics for the sake of a nostalgic audience. The crucial point here is that fans need to be open-minded and accepting of a Jurassic Park movie that's stylistically different to what came before: who wants yet another rehash of what came before?
