10 Reasons You Shouldn't Be Worried About Jurassic World

5. The Original Movie Was Also Pretty Cheesy

A lot of comments about Jurassic World's trailer have used the words "corny" or "cheesy", suggesting that the combination of creaky dialogue and unconvincing effects makes it feel more like a mid-budget TV show than a $150 million movie. Remember, though, that the original movie was itself full of laughably cornball moments that, were it not for a general love for the movie and what it accomplished, would have also been relentlessly heckled. For starters, there's the annoying child characters, a ton of clunky dialogue ("That doesn't look very scary. More like a six foot turkey!", "Hold onto your butts!", "It's a Unix system!" and so on), the jello scene, and the moment when that lawyer gets eaten while sitting on the toilet. If Jurassic World ends up being a little cheesy, that's not so bad: the original movie is hardly free from it, so who cares?
