10 Reasons You Shouldn't Be Worried About Jurassic World

4. The Plot Probably Isn't As Ridiculous As You Think

There's already much consternation surrounding the plot to Jurassic World, specifically the fact that it appears that the park's scientists have created a genetically engineered hybrid, which will presumably be a combination of T-Rex and Velociraptor DNA. The question from many is simply this: are normal dinosaurs that actually existed millions of years ago really not enough? Again, context is important, and this premise likely isn't as silly as you might think. Consider that in the movie, the park has been open for a long time and it's struggling to keep its head above water financially. Kids raised on going to see dinosaurs at the park have become tired of it, and in a desperate attempt to boost admissions, the park takes a drastic step, to introduce dinosaurs the likes of which the world has never seen. Though there's the fair argument that humans haven't gotten bored of going to regular zoos yet, so there's no way they would get bored of seeing dinosaurs, it's possible that, due to the losses incurred with the original park's failure, the investors are still heavily in the red and desperate to push themselves out of it by any means necessary.
