10 Reasons You Shouldn't Be Worried About Jurassic World

3. That Final Shot Might Not Be So Silly

There's no getting around the fact that the final shot of the trailer does, free of context, look absolutely ridiculous. Chris Pratt's riding a bike through the jungle with a bunch of Velociraptors in tow, silly both because the Raptors should be eating him, and the visual effects mesh awkwardly with the real elements. Also troublesome is the speculation that this plot point involves Pratt's Owen domesticating Raptors and then unleashing them at the end of the movie to fight the final boss hybrid dinosaur. It definitely conjures up awkward memories of, say, the Predator teaming up with the human protagonist in the first Alien vs Predator movie, but it's possible that the scene may mean something else completely. Perhaps Pratt is fleeing from a dinosaur, and the Raptors, in their fear, are also running in the same direction. Granted, the opening of some Raptor cages in the previous shot has an ambiguous meaning (is this due to a power outage or because Pratt let them out?), but don't write this one off yet.
