10 Reasons Solo Is The Worst Star Wars Film To Date

3. Emilia Clarke's Awful Performance

The Star Wars franchise has seen some terrible performances over the years. Emilia Clarke in Solo is up there as one of the worst.

This is another depressing example of a Game of Thrones actor being put into a movie purely to cash in on Thrones' popularity. Unfortunately, Solo is one of the worst examples yet.

Emilia Clarke wasn't good in Terminator Genesys but that seemed more like bad casting. In Solo, she's even worse and lacks the charisma, depth and moral ambiguity to pull it off. Unfortunately, it seems Clarke just isn't a good actress outside of Thrones, but this bad role isn't entirely her fault in fairness.

Qi'ra is a badly-written and two-dimensional love interest for most of the film, before doing a nonsensical switch into villainy. In a franchise not exactly known for strong female characters, Qi'ra is one of the very worst. Being an under-written character with an under-written arc, she's also a summation of some of the film's worst qualities.

And yes, she is worse than Padme. At least Padme actually did something and felt like a powerful (though bland) figure.
