10 Reasons The MCU Is Only Going To Get Better

1. The Fantastic Four

When the Disney acquired the rights to Fox, the collective of Marvel and in general superhero fans worldwide squealed in excitement (well I did). The MCU is finally in control of the family that started the rise of Marvel Comics. Way back in 1961 Stan Lee and Jack Kirby changed comic book history with the introduction of Marvel's first family, The Fantastic Four.

The Fantastic Four are the epitome of Marvel, they represent the values and morals for what is considered good and righteous. Now of course the idea that they have yet to play a part in the MCU poses a problem with the general comic continuity, but there are a multitude of ways that the lack of the first family can be explained away. In the right hands, The Fantastic Four will without doubt become one of, if not the most beloved superhero team since The Avengers took to the screen.

They bring with them a massive catalogue of rogues, just under 60 years of storylines to explore and most importantly a family dynamic the likes of which we have not yet seen in the MCU. The brother and sister duo of Johnny and Sue Storm will bring some sibling rivalry while the lifelong friendship of Ben Grimm and Reed Richards will bring with it a new type of brotherhood.

The union of Mister Fantastic and The Invisible Woman is one of the most important in Marvel Comics as it brings about the unparalleled power of Franklin Richards. Will we ever see Franklin Richards join the MCU, only time will tell. Regardless, the impending introduction of the First Family will take the MCU from great to excelsior.
