10 Reasons To Be Excited For Ant-Man

8. It€™ll Fit Perfectly Into The Marvel Universe

Phase One and Two of Marvel€™s cinematic venture was grounded in a whimsical version of science, but Phase Three looks set to accept mysticism and mysterious cosmic powers to a much greater extent. With this in mind, Ant-Man will give audiences a taste of something familiar, helping to ease the transition towards films based on Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel and ultimately The Inhumans. This isn't to say that the movie will repeat what's been seen before - it just means that it'll have a similar tone to most of the Marvel movies (with the exception of Thor and Guardians Of The Galaxy.) Iron Man is one of Marvel€™s most popular franchises, using science and mechanics to give a mortal human the ability to fight crime and save the planet, and Scott Lang, the hero of Ant-Man, will similarly be empowered through the miracles of science. This similarity will ensure that the film has echoes of Iron Man, and it shows that Marvel have experience with reinventing characters in this manner. Marvel's ambitious plans make it inevitable that Ant-Man will eventually be joining Earth€™s Mightiest Heroes at some point in the near future, so it is imperative that the character blends seamlessly into the existing interconnected universe. The MCU is chock-full of scientists €“ Bruce Banner, Erik Selvig, Jane Foster Tony Stark €“ so Hank Pym and Scott Lang can easily enter this circle, ensuring that Marvel's carefully crafted dynamic remains intact.
