10 Reasons We'll Miss Hugh Jackman As Wolverine

6. He€™s Not Afraid Of Silence

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1WJkjK6Mrog Let's face it: superhero movies can be a bit frantic. There are a lot of Avengers and a lot of X-Men, and most of them really like to talk. Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man seems to love Pepper Potts only slightly more than the sound of his own voice. (His Sherlock Holmes is even more of a motor mouth.) The contrast is never more keen in the X-movies than when Jackman plays a scene against Evan Peters' fast-talking Quicksilver, but even James Marsden's Cyclops can look downright chatty next to Jackman sometimes. Try to picture Downey Jr. or Peters in Jackman's place in the scene above. The temptation to let out a snarky one-liner when the metal objects start flying, or at least to throw a few insults in Magneto's face, would be almost unbearable. But one way Jackman stands out in the movies is that he knows how, and is allowed, to say nothing, slow down and let a scene breathe.
