5. A Long List Of Excellent Directors

NBC

Homicide's pilot episode Gone for Goode was directed by the renowned screen director Barry Levinson, who would go on to win an Emmy for the effort. Levinson treated the city of Baltimore as a character in itself and decided to work with as minimalistic means as possible.

Martin Campbell (who would later direct both GoldenEye and Casino Royale) directed the aforementioned Three Men and Adena. The entire episode was set in an interrogation room, but to avoid boring the audience, Campbell changed the camera's angle on every new set-up.

Other notable directors include Alan Taylor, Uli Edel, Kathryn Bigelow, Ted Demme, Robert Harmon, Matt Reeves, Steve Buscemi, Mary Harron, Michael Radford, and Brad Anderson.
