10 Reasons Why Skyfall Could Be One Of The Greatest Bond Films Ever Made

3. The Locations

You can€™t have a Bond film without an array of stunning exotic locations, and Skyfall is shaping up nicely. Significant parts of the film have been filmed within Turkey and Istanbul, with several scenes in the latest trailer clearly set within the region. Skyfall will also take Bond to China, with an emphasis on the neon lit skyscrapers of Shanghai. What€™s especially interesting about Skyfall is that London itself appears to also be one of the main locations of the film. Despite the fact that Bond hails from London's MI6 Branch, we rarely see him moseying around the city. Besides from the fantastic River Thames opening to The World is Not Enough, Bond only pays fleeting visits London to flirt with Moneypenny and to be bollocked by M €“ it€™s no wonder he normally stays well away. In Skyfall it looks like Bond will be hanging around in London whether he likes it or not, as the trailers clearly depict an attack on the London Underground. We also see Bond running around different London streets and a massive explosion in the MI6 headquarters. Seeing as it's Bond€™s 50th, it seems perfectly apt to bring him home for what looks like a significant portion of Skyfall.
