9. He's Made Some Questionable Adaptation-Based Decisions
While it's not exactly his coup de grace, Snyder has had a history of ruining good graphic novels with terrible adaptations. Okay, only once. But it was such a grievous offence, and is almost impossible to forget. We are talking about, of course, Watchmen. The film itself suffered from multiple issues, not the least of which included the aforementioned slow motion, flawed characterization, unnecessary camera angles, etc. But the worst offence of all came at the end of the movie. Where not only was the original creature removed, but it was replaced by, wait for it... Dr. Manhattan! It was a difficult enough task to film what many considered an unfilmable graphic novel, but to change the ending to victimise an already troubled Dr. Manhattan was a step too far. And if Snyder was willing to be this egregious with the most beloved comic of all-time, imagine what he'll do to Batman Vs. Superman. I highly doubt we'll get that high-brow adaptation of The Dark Knight Returns we're waiting for.
