10 Recent Horror Reveals Nobody Was Ready For

5. Corey Is The Main Villainous Focus - Halloween Ends

The reveal that nobody was geared up for in Halloween Ends, was the reveal that the bulk of the movie would be spent on a killer not named Michael Myers.

Yes, the final leg of David Gordon Green's Halloween trilogy attempted to tell a message of how one act of evil can scar a whole town, and how one unfortunate accident can tarnish someone's entire future. The problem is, Halloween Ends did this by placing Michael Myers on the sidelines. And for the passionate Halloween fanbase, nobody puts Michael in the corner.

When paying for a ticket to see what was billed as the final showdown between Michael Myers and Laurie Strode - hot on the heels of Laurie's daughter Karen killed by the Shape in the previous movie - many were left massively frustrated that while, yes, we did get the conclusion of the Michael vs. Laurie war, it was held off on until the film's final 15 minutes.

So, Halloween Ends didn't involve some twist reveal that irked its audience, per se, but more the disappointment was when it became abundantly clear that the heavy lifting of the movie was being done by Rohan Campbell's Corey Cunningham.

To his credit, Campbell was on fine form as the bullied, beaten-down figure who was forever branded for an incident largely out of his control, but the downward spiral of Corey was not what franchise fans were expecting to see from this 13th - and purportedly final - Halloween picture.
