9. The Autopsy Of Jane Doe

Though it has recently seen a growth in public awareness, The Autopsy of Jane Doe still hasn't received the notoriety it deserves.

Housing one of the most deceptively interesting premises in recent horror, The Autopsy of Jane Doe follows a father and son as they perform a late-night autopsy on a mysterious new body. Of course, with it being horror, things don't go at all as expected, and the duo soon find themselves trapped in a battle for their lives when things that first seemed impossible quickly become reality.

The film creates and maintains an eerie atmosphere with its methodical cinematography and editing. With each examination of the mysterious Jane Doe, the film becomes more unclear and that unsettling feeling you get when you have no clue what's happening raises even further.

The darkness in the film permeates the characters and extends to many of its ideas as well. Just when you think you've started to figure out what's really going on, the film hits you with a quick turn and leaves you shaking uncontrollably. This is the perfect film if you're in the mood for confusion and goosebumps.
