10 Recent Movies Spoiled By Their Trailers
2. Wolfs
Apple's recent George Clooney and Brad Pitt-starring action-comedy Wolfs was sold almost entirely on the easy chemistry between the Ocean's co-stars - or at least, it should've been.
All anyone really needed to know going into this movie is that Clooney and Pitt play an odd couple of "fixers" who are forced to team up on a mission - nobody really needs to know much else.
Yet the trailers needlessly spoiled an uproarious twist which doesn't unravel until almost half-way through the movie.
The duo are initially called up to dispose of a young man's (Austin Abrams) dead body following an accident in a hotel room, but 40 minutes in, we learn that the man is actually still alive, sending the duo on a wild goose chase to catch him.
If this wild rug-pull happened early in the first act then spoiling it might've been excusable, but given that it's the most hilariously surprising moment in the movie and arrives much later, it's a damn shame they gave it away pre-release.
