Netflix's Pop-Tart origin story Unfrosted roped in a veritable grab-bag of beloved comedians for its huge ensemble, largely due to the film being co-written and directed by the legendary Jerry Seinfeld.
Seinfeld stars alongside - take a big breath - Melissa McCarthy, Jim Gaffigan, Max Greenfield, Hugh Grant, Amy Schumer, Peter Dinklage, Christian Slater, Bill Burr, Dan Levy, James Marsden, Thomas Lennon. Kyle Mooney, Tony Hale, Maria Bakalova, Dean Norris, Cedric the Entertainer, Fred Armisen, Patrick Warburton, John Slattery, and Jon Hamm.
Even accepting that most of these actors play small cameo roles, the overwhelming majority of them are given little of interest to do, save for Slattery and Hamm amusingly reprising their Mad Men roles.
But as Seinfeld can't find much for himself either, there was never going to be much hope. A glorified SNL skit stretched out to agonising feature length, Unfrosted at least hopefully gave all involved an easy payday.
