6. Love Hurts

Ke Huy Quan's Best Supporting Oscar win in 2023 for Everything Everywhere All at Once was a heart-warming moment for anyone who grew up watching him in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and The Goonies, and there was naturally hope that it'd lead to bigger and better things for the actor.

On paper, Love Hurts, an action-comedy in which Quan plays a hitman-turned-realtor, seemed like a perfect fit. But from the rather charmless script to the flat action sequences, this ultimately feels like a lead role that could've been played by someone far less talented than Quan.

It didn't help that he and fellow Oscar winner Ariana DeBose were thoroughly mismatched as love interests. Beyond their 20-year age gap, their actual moment-to-moment chemistry is virtually non-existent throughout.

Away from these two, there's little given to a solid ensemble that features Mustafa Shakir, Rhys Darby, Lio Tipton, Cam Gigandet, and perhaps most frustratingly Quan's Goonies co-star Sean Astin, who barely gets a chance to make a dent.
