10 Recent Movies That Wasted INSANE Casts

5. Fountain of Youth

Guy Ritchie never struggles to attract terrific ensemble casts to his movies, and his new action-adventure romp for Apple, Fountain of Youth, is certainly no exception. But never before has Ritchie wasted a celebrated cast this egregiously, with this hollow, thunderously generic National Treasure knock-off giving its game roster precious little to do.

Front and center, we've got John Krasinski and Oscar winner Natalie Portman as sibling adventurers, and while it's fair to say that Krasinski is egregiously miscast anyway, he's also got such a nothingburger of a script to work from that most actors would struggle in the role.

Elsewhere, the cast includes a bevy of talent in the form of Eiza González, Domhnall Gleeson, Laz Alonso, Carmen Ejogo, and last but not least, Oscar nominee Stanley Tucci.

This is a diverse and intriguing ensemble that's largely left flailing around with little to do in a rare Guy Ritchie romp that's not even basically passable fun. In fact, it feels dangerously close to totally anonymous, algorithm-driven slop.
