6. Snake Eyes

Death On The Nile
Paramount

It baffles me to no end that films like this still get made, but here we are. Serving as both an origin story for the iconic title character, and a reboot of the G.I. Joe franchise, Snake Eyes is exactly what you expect it to be.

Costing an eye-watering $110 million to produce, the movie bombed hard at the box office, not even making half of its budget back. After all, who exactly was hoping for an expensive G.I. Joe movie in 2021?

Admittedly better than previous films, Snake Eyes was never going to be a hit despite the money Paramount poured into it, and it already feels like a desperate cash-grab clutching for yet another franchise to inject into the cinematic landscape.

Hopefully the series stops here before the studio haemorrhages more money over something no one wants to see. Harsh, I know, but fair.
