To be honest, this one is as bad as it looks. But it's the good kind of bad, the Crank/Expendables/Tokyo Drift kind of bad. Unfortunately, many seemed to think it was the bad kind of bad, the Battlefield Earth/Geostorm kind of bad, and so it barely registered upon release.

This is a film that includes Dave Bautista leaping over the Upton Park pitch (Boleyn Ground, technically) on a motorbike. That level of ridiculousness might turn some people off, but surely it's the kind of balls to the wall commitment which should have others tuning in? Unfortunately, with a box office of less than $1 million from a $20 million budget, it clearly didn't.

The release, which saw it open on the Sky Cinema TV channel in the British Isles the same day it entered cinemas, didn't help in terms of raw box office numbers, but hopefully did lead to more folk watching.

It's just so much better than it has any right to be. It's witty, it's exciting and there are some genuine twists. Billed as Die Hard in a football stadium, it's fair to say it falls slightly short of that. Still though, it's well worth a watch if you missed this the first time around.
