10 Rejected Movie Actors Who NAILED It Second Time Around

9. Iwan Rheon Is No Jon Snow (Or Viscerys)

The Batman
HBO

Acting as undoubtedly one of the most despicable presences the world of Westeros has ever seen (and that is saying something!), Iwan Rheon's terrorising of many a Game of Thrones character over the course of his run as Ramsay Bolton quickly resulted in the actor becoming one of the real breakout stars of the HBO smash hit.

But before he was given the green light to torture Theon Greyjoy or set Ramsay's dogs on his victims, Rheon actually found himself feeling the sting of rejection from the show's casting department on a number of occasions.

First of all being asked to read for the part of Daenerys Targaryen's brother Viserys, Rheon was then told he wasn't quite the right fit before being requested to come back in for another role. This being a time before Ramsay was even on the cards, Rheon actually auditioned for the role of Bastard of the North Jon Snow.

Incredibly, it eventually came down to either Rheon or Kit Harrington for the role of arguably the show's leading character. But Rheon has since confessed, "I think they made the right choice."
