2. Denzel Washington, Halle Berry & Taylor Lautner Were All Considered For Kurt Russell's Role - Furious 7
It's always nice to see Kurt Russell in a movie, because Kurt Russell is a true cinematic badass of the highest order. He turned up this year in Furious 7, you'll remember, playing a government agent by the name of "Mr. Nobody" who hires the gang for a mission. Kurt Russell was great in the role, underwritten as it was, but he wasn't necessarily the studio's first choice. Before he was cast, Universal Pictures considered Denzel Washington for the part, which makes sense, and also Halle Berry, which makes less sense - no, not because she's a woman; because she's just terrible - and then... Taylor Lautner? Whilst you could certainly make a valid case for both Washington and Berry as potential Mr. or Mrs. Nobodies, Taylor Lautner just seems like the worst choice ever. How would that have worked? Just, like, 23-year-old Taylor Lautner turning up to give Vin Diesel a mission, as if that is logical in any capacity. See how crazy Hollywood can be sometimes? Do you see?
