10 Remarkable Facts About 2015's Biggest Movies

7. Tom Cruise Did That Plane Stunt Without Using CGI Or A Stunt Double - Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation

Tom Cruise has never been one to shy away from a mental stunt. The Hollywood superstar has always insisted on being his own stuntman wherever possible, and this attitude has only served to enhance the experience of watching his action films. It's so much better for an audience when they know that actor is really doing it. You'll remember when Cruise shot that now famous scene in Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, in which he actually climbed to the top of the world's highest skyscraper in Dubai because he thought that movie-goers would catch on if he opted to use a stuntman. For the sequel then, Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation, Cruise wanted to top that stunt, and so he decided the best way to do that was to cling to the side of an airplane as it took off - for real. Yes, for the miraculous scene that kicks off the latest Mission: Impossible flick, Cruise actually hung onto the side of a plane as it mounted the runway and took off. No CGI or camera trickery was utilised. No stunt double took his place. It was all Tom. Still, he did admit to being "scared sh*tless" whilst doing it. C'mon, the man is still human.
