With Venom the only released Sony-Verse film, Sony has an opportunity that their universe does not suffer from a diversity problem, even if Morbius and Venom 2: Let There Be Carnage are predominantly all-white cast members.

With a female-fronted film with a female director, Sony can continue to break away from the mould and give Washington a villainous role in the form of an obscure character.

Lily Hollister's Menace, Carlie Cooper's Monster, and Shathra are characters who normally may never have seen the silver screen and would be perfect for Washington's return to Marvel.
