10. Benedict Cumberbatch Is A Secret Villain

The Rumour: Benedict Cumberbatch will play a secret villain, widely suspected to be Brainiac, in the third act of the movie. How Likely Is It?: 2/10. Cumberbatch fanned the flames of this rumour himself by refusing to deny that he was in Batman v Superman when asked, though he was most likely just playfully toying with the media rather than guarding any well-kept secret. Great though Cumberbatch is, his casting would seem a little pat and lazy: can't we try something a little more imaginative than just making him the baddie in everything? Considering that the movie already has Lex Luthor and Doomsday to deal with (as well as possibly some form of General Zod), this one would be both atrocious and jaw-dropping.
