Olivia Wilde's Don't Worry Darling was absolutely mired in various controversies prior to release - some serious, others less so. And the most inane, even hilarious of them all?

The claim that Harry Styles spat on Chris Pine at the movie's Venice Film Festival premiere, and Internet detectives with nothing better to do scanning video of the "incident" to try and discern the truth either way. Fascinatingly, this rustled up way more press than anything to do with the actual film.

Ultimately Pine's PR rep called the non-moment the "result of an odd online illusion," and any attempt to contrive a feud between Styles and Pine quickly fizzled before the movie received its multiplex release.

More than six months on, though, Don't Worry Darling is itself a fairly distant memory, and despite performing modestly well at the box office, is probably best remembered for a slew of overblown online "drama" that ended up amounting to very little.
