10 Ridiculous Movie Moments That Have Shocked Us In 2013 So Far

1. Yippie Ki-Yay Mother... - A Good Day to Die Hard

A Good Day to Die Hard And yet, no film proved more shocking to me this year than the fifth entry into the esteemed action franchise, A Good Day to Die Hard. Even if we discount the fact that the plot sucked, the actors sans-Willis were mostly awful, the action was boring, and that hot Russian girl didn't strip off like she did in the trailer, it's still ruined by one very basic thing - we don't get to hear "the line". While this is also true of the last Die Hard film, we at least got hear it cleverly masked with a gunshot, but here, there's no subtlety; it is literally McClane saying "Yippie ki-yay, motherf-", at which point he slams his foot down on the pedal of the truck he's in, which apparently is enough to drown it out. It's beyond asinine and just an insult to the legacy, really; at the press screening I attended, the moment was met with derisive laughter, quite rightly. While the US version of the film did survive with the line in tact, us Brits had to wait until home video to hear it, and even then, would we really want to sit through this wretched film again? Which cinematic moments of 2013 have shocked you the most so far? Let us know in the comments below.
