10 Ridiculous Movie Moments That Made Everyone Irrationally Angry

Remember Me has one of the most shocking twist in film history; it’s just not very well liked. The film’s a pretty straight forward romantic drama with lots of crying, kissing, and then lots more crying. Robert Pattinson and Emile de Ravin play a couple in New York who go through trials and tribulations as any couple does.

Pattinson’s Tyler goes to his father’s work to meet with him. Tyler’s unexpectedly early and his father asks him to wait at the office. The film cuts to a teacher with the date September 11, 2001 written behind her as we cut back to Tyler looking out the window. The camera pulls back to reveal Tyler is in one of the World Trade Center towers.

The audience is spared the horrors of planes crashing and the towers crumbling, but we see each person in Tyler’s life’s reaction to it. It’s surely a powerful scene, but many thought a “surprise 9/11” was random, cheap, and a bit disrespectful. In no way is it the cleverest twist in a movie, but it’s far from the worst.

Many people did have lives who were in those towers; relationships they wished to continue. Audiences claim it was wrong just to thrust the tragedy on them, and you'd imagine that the families of the people in the Twin Towers felt similarly.

If you talk in a theatre I'm in, be prepared to get some pretty passive aggressive stares.
