10 Ridiculous Movie Plots That Sound Like Fan Fiction (But Are Real)

6. Alien Vs. Predator

Hobbs and Shaw
20th Century Fox

Yes, this movie is ridiculous. Two iconic space villains somehow find their way to earth and standoff against one another. The whole film is one big fight scene with the single sole purpose of carnage.

However, this movie is impressive in an odd way. Here is a perfect example of fan fiction films embracing their fan service. Nothing here is meant to be taken seriously. The writers know fans just want to see some xenomorphs fighting predators. There’s no actual story worth noting. For those curious about the plot though, it involves something about an ancient arctic temple and old xenomorph summoning ceremonies. Scientist and paid guns walk into the temple and discover two alien species with a beef that goes back centuries. Yep, that's all there is to it.

The best part is no one complains about the lack of story. The more dialogue and attempts to explain the action then the more this movie would suck. It's fan fiction that’s not trying too hard to disguise its intent. Just sit back and watch to monsters fight and wreck everything. Now that’s pure cinema bliss right there.
