5. The Whole Shoot - Jumanji: The Next Level
Many directors like to create a good atmosphere on set, making actors comfortable so that they can get the best performances possible. That's why casts are often encouraged to spend time together in the run-up to shooting to form that familiarity with each other before the cameras are around.
Sometimes the circumstances of shooting do a lot of the work for you, as is what happened with Jumanji: The Next Level. It being a sequel with many different locations to travel to, the main actors had plenty of time to get know each other well, and so had many opportunities to have fun with each other to pass the time.
For example, The Rock and Kevin Hart spent most of production teasing Karen Gillan with their impersonation of Scottish accents, which according to her sounded like "someone doing a bad impression of Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins". Also, the only camel that was difficult was Hart's, leading him to describe as "racist". With Jack Black even having a Mad Max moment at the end of shooting as he jumped out of a moving dune buggy in the middle of the desert, thw whole production sounded like a joy to be on.
