8. Pattinson Couldn't Understand The Plot - Tenet

Even the best of us struggled to keep up with Tenet's plot on the first watch. With time literally going back and forth, saying that a lot is going on in Christopher Nolan's latest effort is a massive understatement.

But you'd hope that the people making the film would've had it down, at the very least by the time the cameras started rolling. Yes, Nolan asked a lot of his actors, even making them learn how to talk backwards at one point. That doesn't mean they can lose track of their character's state in the scene they're actually shooting though.

From various interviews with actors promoting Tenet, it became clear that the one who struggled the most with Nolan's vision was Robert Pattinson (to be fair, given his role in the film that's probably justified). According to poor Rob, he just kept getting more and more confused as production went on.

It got so bad that even when the last scene was being shot, he was still asking "protagonist" John David Washington fundamental questions, not only about the story itself but also vital information about his own character. You have to feel sorry for the guy.
